Abita Wrought Iron® IPA embodies the resilient, indestructible nature of New Orleans. This india pale ale is forged with the intensity of Apollo, Ekuanot and Mosaic Hops. Brewed with pale ale malt for a golden color as bright as iron from a fiery forge. Wrought Iron® IPA pairs well with grilled meats like steaks or pork chops. Grilled sausages are great too, with some spicy mustard on the side. It also pairs well with the spice, meat and seafood in jambalaya. A mild goat cheese is an excellent choice with Wrought Iron® IPA.

355ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Intense, resinous, piney and tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, some spruce, notes of passion fruit, some mango. Similar taste doesn’t drop back behind concerning richness and intensitiy. Very good.

Draught @ Third Avenue Alehouse. Cloudy bright orange with decent sized off-white foamy head, sharp citrus peel aroma, low carbonation, a bit moldy citrus peel taste, thin body, long lemon mold like finish. I don’t know why it had this pervasive lemon mold flavor.

Aroma’s wet grain and paper with a little malt and hop. Decent appearance with a soap sudsy head. Flavor’s a little odd with a strong pine resin and oxidation. Not my fav.

Draught at the Office in San Carlos. Orange and slightly hazed with moderate white head. Tropical fruit dominates and a cracker like malt supports well.

Pours a fairly light, golden-yellow with minimal head. Aroma is floral with some citrus, but mainly malt and grain. Flavor is overly sweet, favoring the malt over the hops. There’s some citrus and tropical fruit here, but not enough to raise my score.

Clear amber beer with a decent white head. Light grapefruit aroma with a touch of a hop kick. Flavour is typical grapefruit-and-hop IPA though the grapefruit is quite mellow with it being slightly sweep and the hop getting more to do. very nice, very drinkable.
