Kicking back and relaxing with a session beer requires little more than a couch, some free time, and a few pals. Slow Ride Session IPA is up for this easy-going challenge, starting with a pour of sheened gold and plenty of fluffy, white foam. A blend of seven hop varieties, led by exotic Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin, twist together brilliant tropical scents of melon, peach, lime and grapefruit for a vividly fruity aroma. The flavor mirrors the aroma, while balancing a malty-sweet yet clean start and hoppy bitterness in the back. Light bodied and extra quaffable, Slow Ride Session IPA brings the finish line to you.

Nice looking pour, medium golden body with small soapy head. Aroma is slightly hoppy, but also hints at the malts. Taste is more hops, very subdued, some sweet malt. Hops finish it off with some chalky bitterness.

Tap at Watering Hole. Clear gold with a small white head. Lots of citrus, grapefruit and pith in the aroma. Some lemon in there as well. Light body with good carbonation and bitterness. Dry and crisp finish. Pretty good session.

Sample at M’kReam’s 40th Birthday Party on 08/01/2015. Clear golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Grassy hops, fruit and malt in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of piney hops, fruit and malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

tap. Session IPA’s are excellent fill-ins for Coors/Miller/Bud - light, easy to drink, with taste. Never gonna blow you away. This one was quite nice

Draught @ Jerntorgets Brygghus. It’s been quite some time since I was here last time. Almost empty which very much adds to the mood of the place. Place rating will soon be revised. On to the beer..Pours clear golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is tiny malty, tiny fruity and tiny floral with caramel, grapefruit juice, papaya, moist grass, black tea with honey, minerals, kumquats and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, tiny bitter, tiny malty, tiny fruity, tiny grassy and tiny floral. Mouthfeel is crisp, slightly round, tiny watery and light bodied. Finish is slightly bitter with crackers, caramel, grapefruit juice, papaya, moist grass, black tea, orange zest and hints of cardboard. Decently refreshing but very dull. Fairly old too I guess given the tea and cardboard hints.

Shaker on tap showing moderate filtration, dark yellow, no head, sparse white foam. Nose shows a big mix of grapefruit, mango, guava, and passion fruit. Big tropical fruit mix. The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Light tropical fruits on the palate. Slight tea astringency on the finish, more a green tea bitterness than an IPA.
