A German saison, I had to try it. Pour is a sickly looking tan with a large white head. Aroma is sweet malt and some grapes. Flavor is dark fruit with a kind of there yeast ester. Some spice is left on the tongue. Not your typical saison but it has a few things going for it. Nice dark fruit like a ripe plumb.

Bottle at Top Hops: pours amber with a white head. Aroma is a weird maltiness, off notes, some fleurs. Taste is sweet and lightly spicy and herbal. Not great. Not great at all.

33cl bottle. Pours clear dark orange golden colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of aromatic hops, spices, wheat. Taste of wheat, rye, dry fruity hops, mild banana and clove, okay!

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Clear derp amber gold color, thin off white head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste has very, very subtle funk with peppery caramel malt. OK, I’m a huge fan of German breweries expanding their horizons to new styles now that the rheinheitsgebot is on life support. So I want to like this beer. But it needs more Belgian or saison yeast funk, or at least some bretty barnyard flavors. Anyway, thanks for trying, and I’m looking forward to more.
