This Barley wine is a Blend of 2 barrels, one aged in a Islay whisky barrel, and the other a Highland barrel.
Expect peaty Islay whisky smoke, some sherry lots of fruity notes, wood and lots of booze, this will change as it ages.
i will mercilessly ridicule you if you rate this poorly because you dont like peat smoke, you didnt have to drink this, you choose to knowing it was going to be smokey, complain about it at your peril

Хорошее пиво, у пивовара конечно точно есть свой стиль и это копченость, но её как по мне тут немного с излишком. Эта копченость слегка перебивает другие нотки типо карамели и бочки.

A half pint from draft at The Bear in Paddington area. Clear amber color with a minimal skim of light tan foam. I smelled the peat immediately and there was little room for other than a spot of ripe fruit, no up front from the server. The taste was little different, peaty smoke, caramel, red plums and grain. Different drummers.

Can at home, shared with James, 31st January 2026. Pours a reddish brown. Aroma is caramel, malts, peat, wood, whiskey, taste is complex, caramel, dark fruits, wood and peat, whiskey, is present and ensures this never runs too sweet - fantastic barley wine
