BLAS er et af de mindste danske bryghuse vi har haft repræsenteret på drinkabeer.dk, men det tager ingenting fra øllet, som brygges med den største kompetence og kærlighed af Graham Henderson. Denne gang er det en amerikansk stout med masser af smæk på smagen.
BLAS skriver selv følgende om øllen:
"Our American Stout is brewed with a blend of eleven different organic grains to create a complex dark ale.
We boil the wort for two hours to allow the malt flavours to marry and develop, and then balance the resulting
caramelly and chocolatey sweetness with a roasted hoppy finish."

Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8.5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8
Bottle from Havnens Vin Og Tobak. Pours opaque dark brown with large dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, liquorice, leather, coffee, rusty iron, and hints of grapefruit and spruce. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, and light acidic and faint salty. Body is oily with good carbonation. Finish is long and intense sweet and bitter with notes of roasted malt, liquorice, grapefruit, spruce, resin, milk, and hints of vanilla. A bit too much carbonation for my taste, but otherwise a great, rich stout.

Aroma: Dark roasted malt with coffee. Flavour: Malty sweet with strong bitterness and coffee. Aftertaste is sweet and rather bitter. Colour: Black with a tan head. From: Bottle @ Lalandia grocery Billund
