Can at home. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, and a must admit also some dark malts and soft roast. One of the rare examples -nowadays- of a good balanced black IPA imo. Quote lovely! Actually better than that, it's a very good Black IPA I would say. The balance is right and that's what most Black IPAs miss imo. Really like this one. Very good!

200ml draught at Balthazar. Near-clear black body with a brownish shade, upper part lacing from a filmy layer. Attractive aromas of chocolate malts and ripe fruits, lightly roasted. Solid and balanced taste profile with ripe citrus and chocolate malts. A coffee backdrop to a bittersweet ending. Fine bodied. Enjoyed early on a good Friday in my hometown (Tromsø, 03.04.2026).

500ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. Roasty and slightly chocolately, dark and slightly oaty malty as well as fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, coffee grounds, some cocoa, orange, a touch of yellow stone fruit. Taste is mildly bitter, fruity hoppy, creamy, oaty and mildly bitter roasty, dark malty basis, hints of yellow stone fruit, some orange, orange peel, coffee, cocoa.
Creamy texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Intense, balanced - very nice.
