Although coffee’s not my thing, it’s somewhat palatable in this mix. Black with nice billowy beige head. Coffee is at the forefront in the aroma, but taste is nice mix of the coffee and roast grains. Silky smooth texture, heavy mouthfeel.,

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs Foco. Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a cream brown head. Slightly burnt, roasty coffee, a bit grainy, dark milk chocolate, light vanilla, roasty aroma. Milky, fairly sweet, milk chocolate flavor that’s fairly well balanced the bitterness and roastiness of the coffee. Body is a bit thin and the sweetness and bitterness both are a bit over the top, but not bad.

Bottle. Black pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is roast malt and coffee. Coffee edged malty flavour with a dark espresso finish. Better as the beer warms

2012-07-28, draught at Elysian Brewing Company on Pike St., 7-4-7-4-15=37
Black color; beige head. Nice coffee aroma, freshly brewed. Lean mouthfeel, with a good flavor of coffee, some roasted malt, very light chocolate; correct bitterness.
For a coffee lover this would be almost a dream. It's a very good one.
2012-07-23, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, as Elysian Slipshot Milk Stout, 5-3-5-3-10=26
Black color; the head has short retention. There is a light coffee aroma; it reminds me of the Alpine grolla coffee. The coffee flavor is not pleasant, at least in this light bodied and light souled beer, with dry and weak mouthfeel, some roasted malt, coffee grounds, ordinary bitterness.
Messy.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Extreme coffee aroma. Nearly full bodied. Flavor is very coffee with light lactose milkiness. Smooth burnt malt is rather obscured by the coffee. Finish is not quite dry, but close enough.

22 oz. bottle, pours near-black with a small tan head. Aroma of espresso, burnt roasted malts, not much else. Flavour of espresso, light roasted malts, and some light lactate qualities. Pretty light-bodied, though the espresso is quite potent. Light-bodied for a stout, but decently well-made. Quite good.
