Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is diacetyl, malts, hops, some grass. Flavour is diacetylic toffee, quite strong malts and some hints of alcohol.

Bottle. Butterscotch malt and mild astringent alcohol aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Toffee malt flavor with moderate astringent alcohol finish. Sweeter and less astringent than typical - unique.

bottle, traded with MoritzF. Clear golden colour, medium-sized head. Rather thin-bodied for 8% ABV. Pleasantly hoppy. Quite nice.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is apple, alcohol, overcooked vegetables. Flavour is apple, alcohol, citrus, orange, fruit, hop. Nice bock.

Bottle. A golden, clear beer with a small, off-white head on top. Sweet, slightly grainy flavor, especially considering it being a doppelbock, with fruityness and cooked vegetables as well. Sweet and fruity, as well as grainy flavor too. Some alcohol and cooked veggies too. Medium body, quite thin for a doppelbock, and it finishes with cooked vegetables, sweetness, grains and some warming alcohol. Decent, but far from the best doppelbocks, and I also must admit I prefer them darker and fuller. (071027)

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, pilsener golden with a dense, white head. Sweetish, malty aroma. Rather full-bodied with very sweet and clean malts and a short, dry bitterness in the finish. Pale Doppelbocks are very rare and for some reason I had feared something close to a Malt Liquor, but this is well crafted and scaringly quaffable. 310807

Hazy golden color. Light but balanced aroma, some cereals and honey, promising. Maybe the flavor is less interesting, being malty, balanced but also a bit soapy.

Milder Antrunk, allgemein ist das Bier viel zu mild, ist das wirklich ein 8 prozentiger Doppelbock oder nur ein normales Helles? Nach dem milden Antrunk erscheint zwar eine Note, die auf ein stärker alkoholisches Getränk hinweist, diese ist aber schnell wieder verschwunden und hinterlässt eine große Leere. Leicht würzig, zum Ende hin süßlich und leicht malzig, das bleibt von diesem "Doppelbock". Wenn ich die anderen Tests so lese, scheine ich ein nicht mehr ganz frisches Bier erwischt zu haben. Bottle, 8.0%. Strange, sweet aroma. Clear golden colour, small white head. The flavour reminds me clearly of European strong lager. Quite clean and not too sweet. With a slight vegetable and slightly rough note. But OK. 5 3 5 3 12 Bottle, 8.0%. Grainy, slightly rough aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is sweet, slightly caramelly and actually quite fruity. Creamy mouthfeel. The finish is slightly rough from the hops, but it suits the beer OK. 6 3 6 3 13
