This deep copper ale is unfiltered, full flavored and robust. An extended boil generated intense caramel notes, offset by an assertive hop bitterness. Raisin and dried cherry notes blend with shades of mild tropical fruit lead to a biscuit-like, slightly bitter finish.

4 ounce pour on draft at Evolution Craft. Clear dark amber with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, malt, toasty and nutty notes. Tastes of toasty and nutty notes, citrus, caramel, malt. Medium body with a dry finish.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, on 4/9/11, dry hopped on Styrian Golding and Liberty. Pours a clear copper color with a thin creamy tan head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee and floral and citrus hop notes. The taste is toffee, cherries and leafy, bitter hops in the finish. Medium bodied.
