Golden blond with 6% alc., malty, with a fine bitterness and a long aftertaste. The scent is complex, developing a fruity-hop intense fragrance.

Bottle at home. Pours opaque golden with a thick, foamy, long lasting head. Nose is hoppy and yeast-driven, I get lots of grass and phenols, herbals and peppers. Taste is similar, and it combines with a dry body, and the result is moreish and thirst quenching. The level of phenols starts to be a bit overwhelming by the end, but it’s very much my cup of tea nevertheless.

Bottle at the beer bistro.
Hazy orange pour with a medium white head. Aroma of sweet malt, tropical fruit, yeast, and citrus hops. Some really nice malty grans come through in the flavor and finish. The hops add just enough bitterness, and the malt is perfectly balanced. Very rrfreshing and great beer, from a great brewery.

Aroma of fruits, citrus, some yeast, grass, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a medium bitter finish. Very refreshing ale. Glad to see Belgian breweries making modern beers with more hops, while staying true to the Belgian tradition.

Pours a quite hazy deep golden, with a medium to big sized, firm pillowy head. Good retention, nice lacing. Quite good intensity in the aroma: a subdued malty base with light crackery hints, a yeasty/dough-like presence with quite vivid fruity notes (yellow peach, melon, perhaps a citric hint), some background but not too timid grassy notes. Pretty fresh feeling, though not perfectly defined. Taste notes as per aroma, gets a bit muddled though, with slightly unclean flavours and a not 100% pleasant hint of earthiness. Doesn't take too much away from drinkability though, and there's good balance (relatively intense in both sweetness and bitterness, balanced mouth, a light bitter edge in a dryish finish). Medium bodied, average to high carbonation, feels slightly full and soft in the mouth. Overall denser than expected for the abv, but still pretty easy to drink. Overall: both very belgian and quite modern, pretty pleasant but not entirely flawless to me.

Bottle 33cl. @restaurant De Herberg, Middelburg. Hazy deep golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma pale malt, grain, lemon, orange, some yeast, herbal hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, grapefruit, yeast, herbal notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, bit peppery on the tongue, well-balanced, very nice.

Bottle 330 ml. Golden blond, hazy, good off-white head. Interesting aroma and taste: bitter hops, good malt with caramel and milk toffee, fruits and baked pear, good brew.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM I believe. One of these “I’ll get around to it eventually” ratings that finally came due. Good god, that’s drinkable! Pours clear yellow-gold, effervescent, with a fluffy, white head. Light sweet flavour with bready biscuits, a little honey, melon, crust, faint yeast, faint grass. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, nicely bready and tame, lovely biscuits. Super tasty.

Bottle. Cloudy orange, a fluffy white cm of head. Doughy aroma with old lemons and spices. Some muddled doughy and fruity palate but firm spiced bitter finish cleans things up nicely.
