Bottle of uncertain age (bought next to other Shelton imports dating back 5-8 years). Listed at 5.8% ABV, not 6. Popped the crown and while waiting to pour, it began to overflow the bottle on its own, clearly had done some refermentation all the while. Poured cloudy brown with very large head, took some time to get it poured, but not a lot. Smelled and tasted quite a bit of sherry, lightly oxidized maybe. Some dark alefruits, very plummy. Med to high carbonation, semi-sweet overall profile. Light bitterness serves to balance. Very interesting beer, and flavorful for a single (if you want to call it that) - it drank very close to a dubbel in flavor.

33 cl bottle. A hazy pale golden pour below a tight-laced, thin, snow-white head. Aroma is porridge, grass, wooden chips and a hint of ginger. Rather dry, medium-bodied, crisp. Quite bitter, medium to long-lasting finish.

Heel fijn hoppig biertje.
Earlier Rating: 12/9/2015 Total Score: 3.5

Tap. Murky golden. Tart applepie with lemon. Surprisingly strong bitter notes, paired with buttery fluff, and some sticky aftertaste.

Hazy golden to orange colour, minimal off-white head; aroma of herbal, floral and some bread crusty notes; taste of intensive hoppy bitterness, some grape juice, honey and some quinines; quite good one
