Reviewed from notes.
Went through a four pack, final can was poured into a stange, here are my thoughts.
Appearance: slightly hazed over burnt orange color with remnants of transparency closer to the edges of the glass with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace to leave some light lace.
Aroma: sweet and floral lavender meshes with the tart wheat, salt and lemony tones of the gose base
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas sweet, sour, tart and a touch of savory, finishes with the salt, tart and lavender sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness rolls across the tongue nicely with a touch of tart abrasiveness, nice expected kick of the wheat but also a bit more subtle than other goses
Overall: love how the creativity of the brewers looked at the style and want to add just a little something extra that seemed like it would blend fantastically and that's what Bent Hill did. This was the beer that told me Bent Hill took a 180 and started brewing differently and extremely way better than what they formerly did.
