LASSO is the new frontier of India Pale Ale. Brewed with a robust roundup of Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops, its sessionable simplicity proves bigger isn’t always better. But make no mistake – the Wild West hasn’t gone mild. That same untamed IPA spirit thrives, and we reckon this’ll go down mighty fine.

Bottle: Pours clear, amber/orange with a small, off-white head. Scent is faint, caramel, leaves. Taste is slightly bready, orange-peel, leafy bitter with a resiny finish. A bit of a weak effort on this one.

Bottle - clear light copper, thick, soapy lace - nose has a simple, semisweet malt base (light caramel, mild sweatbread) that mostly serves as a base to showcase the hops (floral, citric, moderately piney - strong cascade presence) - moderate carbonation - clean and simple - bready malt turns semidry quickly, so the hops take center stage - cascades are pretty prominent, but there is some grass and peppery character, too - sadly, a very strong bark/wood/twig flavor finishes, along with a slight vegetal notes - perhaps this will be resolved in latter batches - a valiant effort that falls apart slightly at the end.
