Whole Foods Market – Fair Lakes brought locally sourced honey, sage, and rosemary to Old Ox Brewery in October to collaborate on a farmhouse ale to compliment the holiday season. The result of this inspired brew session is a beautifully crisp and dry Saison ale with fragrant herbal spice and delicate sweetness balanced with spritzy carbonation and just a hint of tartness. Farmhouse to Table is the perfect compliment to your holiday meal….Enjoy with family and friends.

Keg at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spice, tropical fruit, honey, herbal notes. The taste is stone fruits, bread, bubblegum, spice, white wine. Medium bodied, lingering spice.

Draft at the source. Hazy golden yellow color, bright white head. Aroma is funky but medicinal. Taste is herbal straw.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy orange-brown color with a small off-white head. Interesting aromas of flowers with some light yeast funk. It is good, but I was hoping for a little more, mostly because I saw ’table’ and was hoping for something very session-able, like a good table beer. Good otherwise, especially the herbal character in this one.

Another very nice saison from Old Ox. Fermented orange with some nutmeg, sage and floral aromas. Tangy finish. Hazy amber pour. Nice tangy finish. Tap at brewpub.
