Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a two and a half fingers of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely and left some light lace
Aroma: sweet cocoa nibs, smooth sweet oats, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roastiness, black coffee and an earthy spice
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a roasty sweet quality, finishes roasty and sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: a very nicely done oatmeal stout I would return to.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige head that dissipates after a bit. Cocoa powder, coffee and light treacle notes. Palate is similar with toasted malt, oats and cocoa. Drying, smooth finish.

Draft at BTR Brews. Dark, silky black pour. Aroma is roasty, chocolate and licorice. Taste continues with same flavors as the aroma, the licorice really grabbing the palate.

Backlog. Near black pour with a tan head. Aroma is roast malt with coffee and chocolate. The flavor is well balanced. It’s medium to full bodied and overall a pretty solid stout.
