Specially made crystal and roasted/chocolate malts from Murphy & Rude Malting lends tons of dark toffee, burnt sugar, and raisin notes to the beer. For mouthfeel, we rely on special chocolate wheat, oats, and a high finishing gravity. Maris Otter and East Kent Goldings, and a small bit of Munich malt contributes toasted bread flavors. Imagine toast with toffee and nutella.

Tap at brewery. Black. Nose is chocolate, roasted malt, booze. Flavor is chocolate, booze, light vanilla, almost bourbon but this says nothing about barrel aged. Good. Missing something.
