We try to avoid describing our beers as "straight juice," but we also try not to lie. This hazy pale ale is our juiciest beer yet, featuring a balanced malt base that props up a crazy citrus character from fermentation esters and hop oils. Rather than just dump a bunch of hops in the beer, we've played with our Norwegian kveik strain to enhance flavors by manipulating water chemistry, fermentation temperatures, and other processes in the brewhouse and cellar. This beer shines with small additions of modest, classic workhorse hops not typically associated with juicy beers: Cascade and Chinook. We topped off this citrusy pale with tangerines, resulting in a mix of grapefruit and tangerine flavors all backed by moderate hop bitterness. Beautifully hazy and and insanely juicy, Sun's Up is a hot weather must have.

$4.15 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours like orange juice with a slightly darker tint and a frothy off-white head. Smells of orange juice, funk, floral - really nice aroma. Flavor is sour orange juice, tangerine, orange flesh, funk, light earth. It's like drinking an unripened orange with some funk. It's really good.
