This tart cherry Lambic style beer is brewed using Pilsner Malt, un-malted wheat and Virginia Hops that are aged for 3 years. The Lambic is then fermented and aged for 12 months in Virginia Meritage and Chambourcin wine barrels from Pollock Vineyards. The complex wine aromas are complemented by earthy flavors from the wild yeast fermentation. After the initial 12 months, the Lambic then undergoes a secondary fermentation with tart cherries. As a result this Lambic style beer has amazing aromas of cherries, charred oak, and rich red wine.

Tap at the brewery. Pours pinkish beige with no sign of a head. Aroma is slight - tart cherry and a hint of grasses. Flavor is tart cherry - very cherry. A hint of lemon zest but that’s probably just because it is tart.
