Sample at Jack Daniel’s Restaurant at Opryland as "Tennessee Lager". Clear straw-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lace. Wheat, fruit and malt aroma. Light body with flavors of corn, malt and slight grassy hops. The finish is watery with a corn and malt aftertaste. Below average overall.

Keg at Napa Smith, as ’Tennessee Lager’, 01/02/16. Pale golden with a moderate off white cap. Nose is pale malts, straw, grains, cereals. Taste is corn husk, light lemon rind, straw, toasted grains, pale malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Clean enough lager for the style.

Bottle. Sour milk, lemon, corn/barley malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with giant white head. Mildly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Decent body. A pretty good pale lager.

Bottle as Hap & Harry’s Tennessee Lager. Clear very pale yellow color, big fluffy white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of dusty straw, white pepper. Taste is lightly peppery lemon, moderately bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a note of sweet stale corn as well as musty bread and no hop character. Flavor was similar with a stale corn note and musty sweet bread. Thin.

A golden lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a pissy grassy malt with light catty notes. In mouth, a crisp malt with light corn notes, very boring. On tap at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, Oct. 22 2011.
