This jet black stout has a flavor all its own. Sweet sorghum cane was pressed into a sugary juice and boiled down to a thick molasses that was later added to the boil of this ale after the barley mash. The result is a rich beer that starts smooth but has a dry, lingering molasses flavor.

On tap at the brewery 3/27/06. Pours black with no head. Looks thickish. Light aroma of burnt coffee and licorice. Flavor is much the same... burnt coffee, licorice, and some grassiness. Not a tasty beer.
