Collaboration with our friends at Enjoy Coffee in Providence to create a coffee porter that takes a different approach to the coffee side of that equation: letting the nuanced flavors of the coffee bean dominate as opposed to the intense coffee flavors that develop during the roasting process. You Enjoy Enjoy coffee porter that leans into the subtleties of their Urubyiruko Rwandan roast, a lighter roast with fruity notes of watermelon, hibiscus and pink lemonade.

We started with a porter base that blended several caramel malts and pale chocolate malts with a base of Maris Otter and Pilsner malt from Blue Ox Malthouse. After fermentation we conditioned this porter on whole beans for a minimal contact to preserve the subtle flavors of the Urubyiruku. The result is a coffee porter with cold brew smoothness: deep aromas of mocha and almond croissant and flavors of cherry cola and baker's chocolate. It finishes clean, dry and refreshing, pouring a pale black hue with ruby at the corners and a cappuccino-colored head.
