IBS is our imperialized version of our Breakfast of Champions aged 20 months in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels. Brewed with copious amounts of dark and roasted malts, this is liquid breakfast in your mug- we used an insane amount of locally roasted coffee, Ghanaian cocoa nibs, and local maple syrup rounded by oak and packing a bourbon punch to deliver a beer fitting to start your day off with. You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning, right?

(On tap @ MBCC 2017 Yellow Session, Copenhagen) Pours black with a dark tan head and lace. Notes are nice and intense, lots of cocoa, earthy coffee, molasses and fudge in the malts, nutty roast, bourbon, soft maple, dark fruit, vanilla, sweet up front but drier and rather bitter on the back end, coffee comes through, heavy roasty cacao, burnt wood, more bourbon, again touches of maple. Full-bodied, creamy, lightly boozy, softly carbonated. Bloody beautiful, big flavours and good balance. alongside Black Tuesday this was a picture of making a big stout that doesn't go overboard. One of the best from one of the most promising newer stout brewers.
