IBS is our imperialized version of our Breakfast of Champions aged 20 months in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels. Brewed with copious amounts of dark and roasted malts, this is liquid breakfast in your mug- we used an insane amount of locally roasted coffee, Ghanaian cocoa nibs, and local maple syrup rounded by oak and packing a bourbon punch to deliver a beer fitting to start your day off with. You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning, right?

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, oak and coffee. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, coffee and vanilla finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Draught at MBCC, first session. Good looking with a tan coloured head, spotty lacing, jet black body. Delicate aroma of roasted dark malts with a touch of prunes. Confectionery flavours added by bread, oak and prunes. Warming and lingering roasted ending with a hints of coffee. Full bodied. A nice one. (Copenhagen 12.05.2017).

Sample at MBCC, 2017, Yellow session. Poured almost black with a thin tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, sugary marshmallow, chocolate, vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry roasty sweet malt, smooth, fruity liqourice, light alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.
