Bouteille 355ml. De couleur ambrée-orangée foncée et légèrement voilée. Nez de houblon moyennement citrique, résineux, fruité (agrumes) et herbeux, de malt sucré, léger de caramel doux avec des traces de butterscotch. Moyen-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement crémeuse et aux notes huileuses. Goût moyennement amer de houblon citrique, moyennement fruité (agrumes, traces d’abricots), légèrement herbeux et résineux (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de malt sucré avec un moyen goût de caramel doux puis en finale l’amertume de houblon s’intensifie très légèrement tout en se faisant plus herbeuse, plus résineuse et légèrement asséchante. Post-goût long et légèrement sec, moyen-amer de houblon résineux, moyennemenbt citrique, herbeux et fruité (agrumes et zestes) avec des notes résiduelles de caramel.

Bottle at home, 19th May 2013. Pours fairly dark in colour, tasty, good strong fruit hop taste, carbonation is about right, not totally smooth, but enjoyable

Bottle - Fresh pine and grapefruit, with a bit of grain and spice. Amber with a thick white head. Grains, malt and resin with a hop finish. Easy drinking but not as hoppy as I would prefer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Comes in a 6-pack at the LCBO. An unfiltered IPA... nice ! Now rated at 7.1% ABV. Pours a dark amber colour with an off-white average head and long retention that gives out good dirty lacing. You can also see the tiny particles floating all-around. Piney aromas well-balanced by the fruitiness of the 7 different malts. Very nice drinkability with a not-too thick mouthfeel, and no burning at all. Again, a nice balance between the bitter hops (grapefruit rind) and the malts (caramel, citrus fruits). The mild dryness and strong bitterness from the hop really lingers for a while. Quite a nice offering from Amsterdam and for those who enjoy the hop, but well-blended.

(355ml bottle from the LCBO) Poured murky brownish amber with a big fluffy white head that left a lot of lace, and some floaty bits of sediment below. Aroma is soapy, resiny, woody coniferous hops with some rounded pit-fruit type aromas but not too much citrus. Also a fair bit of caramel malt aroma behind. Flavour is again slightly soapy pine resin and fruit, not a sharp citrus peel bite, meshing reasonably well with the sweet caramel and light biscuit of the malts. Moderate bitterness throughout, finishes fairly dry and hoppy with a hint of malt sweetness. Fairly full mouthfeel, carb a bit lower than average, a bit creamy. A good IPA but something a little weird about the hop profile, a little less refreshing than most.

Hazy amber color, with red hue; creamy head. Nice resiny hop aroma, although revealing some crystal in the background. Lean mouthfeel; caramel flavor, some disturbing crystal; strong bitterness, not too resiny, and just lightly fruity.
Sturdy IPA.

Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty pale amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma consists of bitter hops with light citrus and earthy notes. Taste is dominated by citrus hops with light earthy note and an astringent finish. Malt profile is quite dry though strong enough to back the hops profile. Body was quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Well brewed though maybe a tad too astringent for my tastbuds.

@ Ship Inn, Hamilton. Hazy amber with a thin head. Explosive piney earthy hop aroma. Moderately rich bitterness, light caramel and earthy, pithy hops. Nice work.

Cloak & Dagger, Toronto tap: Pours a copper color with a creamy white head. Aroma is really fruity, but also has a strong hoppy element. Taste is somewhat sweet, but the hops take the front seat. Body is pretty good. Carbonation is generally light.. The bitterness made this hard to swill, but this was a very good Canadian IPA.

Good bitterness, some pine and overall good drinkability. A good go-to IPA in Toronto area. Some citrus as well.
