Don’t blame it on the sunshine, don’t blame it on the moonlight

Blame it on the… SOLSTICE? The days are getting shorter, the nights are growing longer, the winter solstice is around the corner, and we haven’t seen the sun in what feels like months. Oh well! To brighten up the gloomy midwinter, we put together a sunny citrusy sour. SOLSTICE is flavored with fruits we associate with the winter season: oranges, tangerines, and cranberries. And for a touch of festive magic, we added a little bit of cinnamon.

As you might have guessed, SOLSTICE is super citrusy, with both orange and tangerine right up front. Cranberry stays more in the background, giving the sour a subtle tannic backbone. And the cinnamon? We kept it gentle with just a hint in the aftertaste

What more to say? SOLSTICE just might be the remedy for sad gray winter days.

Can bought at the city centre S-Market, Oulu. Hazy-opaque orange. White head fizzes away with energy and then burns out to almost nothing. Aroma is citrus and cinnamon with vinous hints. Initial jucy fruit followed by a sour streak and a good dose of spice. Tangy and vinous. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Fun sour.

440ml can sold to me by djoeye. Unclear golden body, fading white head, scattered lacing. Modest smell of citrus, orange up front. Citrus fruity taste with oats and wheat, mid-tart. Juicy, mid-tart ending. Fair enough. (Tromsø, 10.02.2026).
