Brewed with our buds at Everywhere Beer (Orange, CA). We brewed this with a simple single decoction mash and hopped through the boil with Hallertau Mittlefru, then hopped the whirlpool and dry hopped with Saphir. The combination of a traditional variety (halertau mittlefru) with a newer developed hop (saphir) speaks to the philosophy of both of our breweries: places where old methods are practiced alongside modern, science and tradition holding equal weight. Fresh, green stems and a mild citrus with an herbal character cutting right through. Saphire jumps off the foam while mittelfru provides gentle bitterness and mild lemon peel.
