Maple Schwarz Be With You is a collaboration with our friends from Buck Family Maple Farm, in Waterbury. We took Salute Your Schwarz and added some dark amber maple syrup from their farm. The result is a smooth and easy drinking black lager that comes across as slightly smokey with a touch of maple. It’s a beer that reminds us of wood fires, boiling sap, and working in the woods.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown in the pour but closer to black in the glass with a two finger eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: rich dark malts, cocoa powder/baker's chocolate, toasted nuts, sweet char and a touch of maple syrup
Flavor: takes the prior noted aromas to blend roasty and toasty at first but with more sips, it opens up to a slight sweetness, finishes dark roasty with that super light hint of maple
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but not too much as some of the roasty to char tones are a bit invasive to the tongue
Overall: for the most part this is quite the dark lager, it wants to be balanced but seems like it's just a shy bit short.
