Punch Out Black Eye.P.A. is our American Black Ale, oxymoronically known as a Black IPA. Its strong roast is complemented by the fruity and resiny hops that make up this beautifully bitter, black beer. Punch Out Black Eye.P.A. will knock you off your feet.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in color with a finger and a half's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, a touch of dark fruits then a big punch of piney/resinous hops; light coffee bitterness and piney bitterness nip at my nose pretty nicely
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas together in that great bitter punch of any Black IPA/CDA will then allows a good roasty to sturdy sweet character to intertwine very nicely; long finish of the bitterness, roastiness and sweetness of the hops and coffee tones
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; some smoothness but also enough bitterness to tell me this is a Black IPA/CDA as the hops clamp down on my tongue along with some roasty features
Overall: sometimes I ask myself where did all the Black IPA's go but then again, I also have to ask myself where did all the craft brewers go and with that I have to say RIP to Collaborative as this was my last beer by them and I will surely miss this brewer.
When they say the good die young then I guess so do the really good breweries.
