16 fl oz can from beer army outpost in new bern, bought summer 2015, $4.60. no best before date, but definitely past its prime. pours a murky dirty orange with a steady dense head and a nice lacing. aroma of barley wine, alcohol, woody hops, peppermint. flavour of caramel, wood, herbs, lemon, quite sour. interesting, woody, not very ipa-like, but I wonder if it was different when fresh...

16 oz. can. Pours hazy orange, with a medium, frothy head. Nose is pine, caramel, mango, and some light floral notes. Fairly bitter, with a hefty malt backbone. Light to medium body, crisp, and clean. Overall, this is a nice, thoroughly drinkable, and pretty well made IPA.
