Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: black in color and in the glass with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: milk chocolate; light notes of roasted coffee with a good dose of Mexican-like spicy peppers and chilis; light cinnamon and some vanilla
Flavor: moderately sweet with an ample amount of spicy notes from the peppers and chils along with the cinnamon; finishes spicy with a note of chocolate to vanilla sweetness
Texture: medium bodied, this is a sipper; lovely note of how the smoothness from the stout base wraps with the spicy aggression to neither be too smooth or too harsh on tongue
Overall: probably the best beer I've had by Silver Moon, everything's so well integrated.
