Baltic-style Black Lager first lived in red wine barrel, then in a KY bourbon barrel. Classic Porter chocolate, caramel, roast notes are evident when consumed cool. Rich red berry fruit, vanilla, oak tannin notes of wine show up when consumed warmer.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a deep grey head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has red wine and sweet dark grains with roast and a hint of vanilla underlying. Flavor has a nice combination of red wine, dark grains and a browning bourbon with some roast supporting.
