Keg at the brewery, Asheville, 17/02/15. Chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering. Nose is biscuit, caramel, light earthy hop, straw. Taste comprises much the same, toasted nuts, toffee, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light bitterness. Adequate brown.

Keg at the brewery. Pours a clear dark brown with a thin creamy off-white head. Poor head retention. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, raisin. The taste is chocolate, roasted malt, caramel and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness.

Draft at the source, Asheville pub crawl with Jim. Clear brown maroon color, tan head. Aroma of chocolate covered biscuit. Taste has cocoa, subtle coffee grounds.
