Nice roastedness, some licorice and piney hops. Dry, and ashy mouthfeel. Ok bitterness in the long finish.

Smell of roasted malt. Black colour, high beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash, some tar. Faint fruity note. Foamy carbon. Bitter.

(Keg at Gallow's Bird Tapiola, 20260214) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine, fruitiness and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, pine, liquorice, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts liquorice and bitterness. A tasty blend of burnt malts and fruity hops.

Fresh hoppy, piney and roasty with some citrus, grapefruit, herbal notes, hints of resin, chocolate and earthiness, long lasting lingering bitterness. Pretty tasty and properly hoppy black IPA. Nice.
