A common ale in the Kentucky tradition. Made with local malt, this beer comes from the second runnings of a grist that our sister distillery makes their Vermont Common Whiskey with. An easy-drinking yet flavorful session ale with caramel and spice notes.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: semi-dark amber color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: honey, pine needles, light earthy spice and a caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: copies the aromas nicely to a fine sweet to spicy sort of way; finishes piney with the earthy spice
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, fairly smooth on the tongue
Overall: good beer I would want to return to but I need to learn more about Kentucky common ales to be honest.
