Belgian Strong is à santé’s newest beer in the Belgian Strong Ale style, featuring a bold 8% alcohol content.
This ale is defined by the prominent role of Belgian-origin yeast, which plays a far more active role than typical ale yeasts, shaping the distinct character of the beer.
The esters formed during fermentation lend the beer a floral and fruity profile, while phenols impart a hint of spiciness. To achieve its 8% alcohol content, just as with Belgium’s stronger ales, dextrose is added to enhance the fermentation process.
