Bearwalker was inspired by our brewmaster Bailey’s Vermont roots. Pure maple syrup is infused during the conditioning phase, and is noticeable from start to finish. Chocolate malts add roasted notes to the flavor and aroma. It is also more highly hopped than most browns to create a balanced, yet complex brew.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a deep amber with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Light maple and toasted caramel aromas with maple leafy grassy notes as it warms. Dry maple on the finish with some light peppery rye-like notes. Drier than expected, but a big lack of maple. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bearwalker on 27 Dec 2018 at 15:22 - Score: 6. Original review text: Light maple and leaf notes.,some caramel & toffee sweetness. Dry maple on the finish with some light peppery rye-like notes.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy amber brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has maple and bread notes with some cereal backing. Flavor is similar lots of bread and cereal with some maple supporting.

Light maple like Toronto’s hockey team for the past 40 + ?? years. Brown pour with decent head. Sweet finish, hint of roast. Tap at brewpub.

Modest nose, slight lacing, good color. Sweet--the maple syrup is on the forefront, not overpowering yet very much the dominant flavor. Fades into toffee and caramel with a discernible maple back, then slides into a biscuit-like finish holding the slightest hop bite. Grows sweeter as it warms, making the maple even more pronounced. Wants to be British, but the syrup smacks of craft brew fiddlin’ around. Eh.
