Reviewed from notes.
On tap at McGillicuddy's, Williston, VT.
Appearance: copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet and tart plums up front, light grassy to lemony hoppiness, subtle earthy tones further underneath
Flavor: leads with the sweetness from the plums and a light earthy to lemony semi-sweet character further under; mild finish of the plums and some lemon
Texture: medium bodied, some sessionability, light smoothness but a brisk earthy grit slides in underneath
Overall: the brewer says it's a saison but seems like it may be more of a fruited tart ale.
