Tap at J’s West Sixth tap takeover. Pours a deep gold to light orange with a finger of foam that lingers. Big simcoe nose. Pineapple, citrus and light dank notes. Slightly earthy with some faint onion. Good body, good carbonation. Well-balanced with the simcoe really shining throughout. A big improvement on the regular IPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Second Fiddle Simcoe IPA on 21 Jan 2017 at 19:58 - Score: 8. Original review text: Big simcoe nose. Draft. Grassy orange peel and caramel malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Moderately sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter earthy quinine orange peel flavor. Good body.
