Chocolate, light resin, oatmeal, baked apple, butter toffee, birch bark, and almond. Sweet and malty, with a mellow, grassy bitterness. A bit hot. Heavy, syrupy, and slick. Fun and nicely done.

Can purchased from the brewery - pours a dark ruby - fizzy, but no head - presents more barleywine than stout - treacle, dark fruit, light oxidation - the rye barrel is pretty forward through the middle - finish brings in stout elements of chocolate and a little smoke - this is also the moment the bourbon comes through and lasts into the finish - finish is a little hot, but not terribly so - itβs pretty good!
