Celebratory Eisbock for our batch #500. This beer is brewed on Bonsak malts, boiled for a long time, and fermented with a southern German Lager yeast strain. It was then aged for 7 months before cryo concentrated. Lastly it spent 10 months resting on Oloroso Sherry Barrels.

YG. Black color with no head. Aroma and flavor is alcohol, licorice, chocolate, sherry, wood, toffee, caramel.

Bottle, 375ml waxed. Intense, concentrated, sweet and malty. Not as warming as expected. Some wood and vinous notes. Toffee, caramel sauce, hints of chocolate, treacle, some soy sauce-like notes and a light toasted hint. Good bitterness too, dealing with the sweetness. Nice indeed this one, but needs to warm up a little to shine. 848416 260409
