Hopsy is a New Zealand Pilsner that pours a straw-yellow color, with peaks of foam that slowly collapse into the glass. A blend of hops from our friends at Garston Hops, including Motueka, Rakau, Cascade, and Nelson Sauvin, fills the air with aromas of white grape, candied citrus peel, and passionfruit juice. A touch of German Hallertau Mittelfrüh rounds out these fruit-forward hops with an earthy note of noble spice within a crisp finish. This zippy lager is a tribute to our four-legged friend Hopsy, who can usually be found zooming around the hop yard.
Hopsy lies on bundles of twine as we prepare the hop fields for the growing season. Now he’s hurtling past the fence toward a rippling cloud of sheep, its edge condensing against his galloping arc. Seconds later, he’s back by our side. We love him for the sweetness of the world contained within his leaping heart, a gift given to us each time we cross his path.

Pours a moderately hazy, pale lemon yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is a bit muted, with grass, straw, some hops. Flavors follow, with a light sweetness. Clean, crisp mouthfeel.
