Triple Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee Stout
Birthdays are always better with company, which is why we went cahooting with the Thornbury locals at Coffee MIO to add some extra pizzazz to an already very well-pizzazzed stout. Aged in ex-whisky and bourbon barrels and finished with a fusion of amburana wood, this extravagant beast is the best party favour a person could hope for on an 11th birthday.

From a 440ml can on 27/2/2026 (shared by Ed with thanks). Pours a deepest brown with a smallish tan head. The nose is strong, with lots of a dark chocolate, a dash of coffee, and a good whiff of whisky. Flavour wise, you get everything that's on the nose, all chocolatey and coffee, with a big whisky finish. Syrupy palate with softish carbonation. Complex, smooth and satisfying. These guys do the big stouts really well.
