Bottle from Beerdome. Hazy red brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, wood and light star anise. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a little alcohol. 200826

Bottle from Beerdome. I came for the rum and left for the star anise. It's just too overpowering the aroma. Picking up malt, caramel, oak, touch of dried fruit and rum. Sugary spicy anise in the finish. Just too much anise.
