Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to chalice.
Appearance: dark ruddy brown color with two fingers worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark fruits, red delicious apples, Belgian spices, Belgian sugars, caramelized malts; Belgian yeasty to bready whiffs, some cocoa powder
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy quality; finishes Belgian spicy and sugary
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; nice smoothness along the tongue; that "back-of-the-throat" Belgian grab is there; and noted dryness
Overall: nicely done Belgian dark strong ale I would very much love to return to.
