Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: mostly brown in color with touches of semi-clear red hues along the sides with a two and a half fingers of off white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: toasted nuts, caramel/toffee malts, some dark bread, subtle dusty earthy hops
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine malty/bready semi-sweetness; finishes clean through the malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, light smoothness but also some semi-gritty earthy hops grinding into the tongue
Overall: mostly a pretty good English brown ale just needs some of that grit cleaned up in the feel to make this a stellar brown ale.
