Can to tulip.
Appearance: deep dark amber to red color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated at nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark clean caramel & toffee malts running through some clean citrusy & deep piney hops
Flavor: meshes all the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet quality; finishes malty, piney and citrusy
Texture: medium bodied, close to being sessionable but seems to probably be a sipper; some smoothness but also some hop assertiveness on the tongue
Overall: nicely done old school/kinda like a PNW type of amber/red ale I believe I could come back to.
