From a 75 cl bottle at the DC Pre-Turkey Day tasting on Nov 9, 2014. Courtesy of radagast83. Pours a hazy brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel. Flavors of oak, vnailla and butterscotch.

750ml bottle at the DC Pre-Thanksgiving tasting. It took a lot of effort to get this wax off the bottle. Sheesh. Poured a muddy brown color with virtually no head. Aroma was vanilla, barrel, booze. Some notes of light orange, with vanilla, wood and barrel comes out in this one. Almost get something like mint chocolate chip. Perhaps a little more blending with the base beer might produce a nice middle ground. While not bad, but the bottle was incredibly expensive for what we got. Maybe if enough bottles sit around it could mellow into something special... in the meantime I’ll just stick with the base beer.

Tastes like oak barrel. Brown pour with a sweet boozy finish. Light floral aroma. Overpriced, over-hyped and certainly over-waxed. Bottle shared by Radagast.

Waxed bottle at the RateBeer DC Tasting shared by radagast83, thanks Chris! Hazy golden brown with no head. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, light oak, sweet fruit. Tastes of floral notes, citrus, light pine. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Poured from a bottle at a bottle share in DC it is a cloudy amber color any it has the aroma of booze and the taste is boozey and has a taste of vanilla
