Our Stir Stick Stout is robust with ruby highlights and a generous addition of locally roasted fair trade, organic Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. The beans lend a distinct chocolate aroma and flavour that blends well with the roasted barley and malty sweetness.A woody bitterness rounds out this ale and makes it the perfect match for barbequed buffalo burgers, sweet desserts like chocolate lava cake or with vanilla ice cream as a decadent beer float.

Dark chocolate nose with light notes of coffee and roasted malt.
Flavor is quite sweet and there is quite a molasses aftertase to go along with the cocoa finish. The carbonation is way over the top though. Had to pour and kinda tough to drink.

Lovely tasty stout. Well the most prominent here is the aroma. Solid! Sniffed it for a looooong time. Felt like a barrel aged one. Lots of chocolate,, oak and vanilla. The only thing to put my finger on here is the texture. Felt a bit thin. Maybe my brain was fooled. Thought it was an imperial stout. Pleasant carbonation level. Smooth and easy to drink. Also chocolate, oak, vanilla and coffee in the flavor. Yummi.

Bottle: Black...with a small tan head. Scent is coffee, dark chocolate, a little cola. Mild ashy bittering. A very nice stout....simple, but right on the mark.

Bottle shared by Iphonephan at the DC Pre-Thanksgiving tasting. Thanks! Poured a dark brown color with a light tan head. Aroma was nicely roasted malts, some coffee. Flavor was bitter roasted coffee, some caramel, touch of dark chocolate. Not too heavy, which lends it to easy drinking.
