Draft at Deep Ellum, Alston, MA. English pint shows a perfect Nitro pour. Nose is light chocolate malt and coffee. Flavor is exactly what I was expecting, Guinness wannabe. Light roasted notes, weak chocolate, light roasted coffee and light ash. Yes the nitro helps in body and texture. I knew what this was when I ordered it. It delivered on what Harpoon was aiming for. For style, ok.

On tap at harpoon Windsor "our answer to Guinness" the guy says dark amber black. 1 finger creamy head. Nose is Munich malts, cream and lactose with some wood chips. Very thin body, more like a brown ale than a dry stout. Sweet fig finish. Middle is smoke and some chocolate malts. Nice barley presence. But just very thin overall
