Used a tulip for this review.
Appearance: black in color with a quarter finger's of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: black coffee roast, caramel/toffee malts, sweet earthiness; subtle orange peel & tropical fruity tones
Flavor: incorporates a great blend of the prior noted aromas then a nice clean finish of the coffee roast and tropical fruit tones
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper as the palate wrecking capabilities come down swiftly to subdue my tongue with the dryness and the coffee roasty aggression along with some tart assertiveness
Overall: this is why the kids don't like this style, they can't have anything after this and they know it. Why of course this was my last beer of that night!
